Purpose and Reason:

Effective May 2002, to revise the rules to include as a cost neurtral alternative to institutional care, a new home and community based waiver program for up to twenty five (25) individuals who: are age eighteen (18) or over; require the level of care provided in a hospital; do not meet developmental disability criteria; and meet other eligibility criteria for Medical Assistance long term care services.
